In the tradition of minimal abstract work, Diana Paz builds her work by establishing a sense of place. Her method takes elements from her personal journey, masterfully combining shape and color as a means of translating feeling and memory.
Domingo en el centro is inspired by many of the cities Paz has lived in, all with dynamic bustling downtown areas. The geometric shapes, central to her visual vocabulary, are inspired by a city surrounding, taking the world in via shapes & colors.
Diana Paz (Maracaibo, Venezuela 1989) is a Latin-American artist based in Miami. Diana, who also goes under the moniker DE89, is a minimalist painter who mainly focuses on color and composition to create non-representational images.
